Style | Best Dressed At The Emmys

Fashion // September 23, 2013

The world tuned in yesterday to see which actors and actresses would triumph and take home statuettes at the 2013 Emmy Awards. But besides rooting for our favorite shows, we kept our eyes on the red carpet to see which stars shined in sartorial splendor. Check out who made our list of favorites.

Kaley Cuoco in Vera Wang

We love the elegance and color of Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco’s Vera Wang gown. The deep burgundy color and sheer midriff on her fitted corset flattered her figure and the tulle skirt added sophistication and glamour to her look. She kept her hair simple with easy beachy waves and carried a modern clutch.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa

Kerry Washington always wows on the red carpet and her 2013 Emmys look did not disappoint. We love her floral applique Marchesa gown and just the right amount of sheer and skin. Her ethereal tulle skirt and delicate embellishments kept her look sophisticated and stunning.

Julie Bowen in Zac Posen

Peach and pinks were a big trend on the Emmy red carpet, but Julie Bowen truly shined in her Zac Posen gown. We love the structure and details on the shoulders and the bottom of her skirt, while the geometric lines at the bodice kept her look modern. We also love her structured art deco clutch and neutral makeup.

Elisabeth Moss in Andrew Gn

Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss may wear frumpy frocks on the show, but her gown was nothing but gorgeous on the red carpet last night. She complemented her embellished black and white look with a bold red lip and a modern blonde pixie cut haircut.

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang

Modern Family was a big winner of the night, taking home the Emmy for best comedy, and Sofia Vergara also was a big style winner on the red carpet. Her bold red Vera Wang dress hugged her figure and showed off her curves with a fit and flare structure. The lace overlay added a classy air to her look and we love the addition of her statement earrings and shiny cocktail ring.

Leslie Mann in J. Mendel

Leslie Mann looked stunning in her embellished black and white geometric J. Mendel gown. The cut and silhouette of her look was simple, but the lines were flattering and we love the surprising detail of her sheer skirt.

Sarah Hyland in CH by Carolina Herrera

Modern Family starlet Sarah Hyland has come into her own style with this emerald and black lace CH by Carolina Herrera gown. Although a black lace overlay can tend to skew older, the look was young and fresh with a deep plunging neckline and bold color. Sarah accentuated her look with a deep red lip, statement earrings and an art deco-style bangle and clutch.

Heidi Klum in Versace

The supermodel and Project Runway host proved that she owns the red carpet in her fuchsia Versace number. Her gown stood out among the other looks with a bold neckline, beaded embellishments and overall glam shine. She polished off her look with slicked back hair and a dewy fresh-faced look that kept the attention on her over-the-top dress.

Mindy Kaling in Georges Chakra

The Mindy Project star Mindy Kaling brought some color and glam to the Emmy red carpet with her curve-hugging purple Georges Chakra dress. The gown flattered her figure and the cutout jeweled neckline added an extra dose of glitz. She paired her look with a flattering Old Hollywood-esque updo and a modern gunmetal clutch.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Monique Lhuillier

Funny woman Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also winner at the 2013 Emmys as she took home best actress in a comedy series. We love the overall glam of her simple Monique Lhuillier dress which shined from nearly every angle. Julia kept the rest of her look effortless with loose curls, simple earrings and nude box clutch.

In a sea of pale palettes and dark metallics, Kerry Washington’s pop of color on the red carpet was refreshing and eye catching. We love her peach sequined bodice and her bright pink-red skirt. Her column skirt was a perfect combination of fitted and flowy, with beautiful details like a train and a belted ribbon.

Jennifer Lawrence made a statement on the Oscar red carpet with her voluminous Dior gown. Her pale pink ensemble had a rounded neckline, fitted dropped bodice and textured skirt. We also love Lawrence’s delicate draped backward necklace, elegant updo and bling drop earrings.

Jennifer Garner in Gucci

Another celebrity who made a bold color choice on the red carpet was Jennifer Garner in a plum Gucci gown. We love the simplicity and fitted front with the tiered ruffles and train of the back. We also love her look paired with a statement necklace and soft updo. Her classic silhouette and beautiful color choice easily earn her a spot on our best dressed list.
